Dr. Abellia Anggi Wardani

Dr. Abellia Anggi Wardani serves as an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Humanities at Universitas Indonesia and is a member of the Border and Migration Research Cluster (RANTAU). In addition to her academic role, she currently holds the position of Vice Chair at UI GreenMetric, focusing on advancing sustainability initiatives within society. Dr. Wardani earned her PhD from Tilburg University in the Netherlands and has over ten years of experience in community-based research across various regions of Indonesia, including Maluku, East Nusa Tenggara, and Papua, as well as in Myanmar, Bangladesh, and Thailand. Her scholarly work has been published in reputable journals, including the Journal of Global Security Studies, Routledge Handbook, LSE Press, and the Journal of Small Wars and Insurgencies. Prof. Dr. Janet Hoskins

Janet Hoskins is Professor of Anthropology and Religion at the University of Southern California. Prof. Manneke Budiman, Ph.D.

Manneke Budiman is a Professor in Literature and Cultural Studies and currently the Head of the Department of Literature in the Faculty of Humanities Universitas Indonesia. He earned his Ph.D. in Asian Studies from the University of British Columbia, Canada. His research interests include media and subculture studies, gender studies, memory studies, and community resilience studies. He serves as a member of the Advisory Board of Bijdragen tot de taal-, land- en volkenkunde / Journal of the Humanities and Social Sciences of Southeast Asia. He is also a co-founder and member of the International Consortium of Mangkunegaran and Sustainable Social Transformation, as well as an associate-member of the Institute for Trans-Pacific Cultural Research, Simon Fraser University, Canada. Prof. Dr. Bambang Hudayana is Professor of Anthropology at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia. He previously served as Head of the Department of Anthropology (2016–2020) and has held major academic leadership roles, including Head of the Center for Rural and Regional Studies (2013–2016; 2021–2025). He is currently Chair of the Faculty Senate and a Member of the Academic Senate of UGM. His teaching spans anthropology, community empowerment, action research, policy advocacy, agrarian issues, and the dialectics of economy, politics, and culture. His scholarship focuses on economic anthropology, rural development, village governance, indigenous community empowerment, and social change in Indonesia. Beyond academia, Prof. Hudayana has long been active in civil society. He serves as Chair of Yayasan IRE (Institute for Research and Empowerment) and has contributed to national initiatives on village reform and participatory governance. He is also a member of the Regional Cultural Council of Yogyakarta and the Ethics Council of the Indonesian Anthropological Association. His major publications include works on indigenous and community empowerment, applied and development anthropology, economic anthropology, and food sovereignty.
